Wendie Haskell Tingey Camp, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 17th, 2019, with her loving husband, Victor, by her side. She was born, July 16th, 1965 in Provo, Utah to Stanley Jay and Virgie Mecham Haskell.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a graduate of Payson Senior High School, where she excelled in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She attended Snow College on a softball scholarship, graduating with her Associate's Degree. She also attended Utah State University.
She was sealed to Richard W. Tingey in Manti Temple. Early in their marriage, Richard passed away unexpectedly. Together they had one son, Nicholas, whom she loved dearly. She later married Victor Camp, who was constantly by her side till the end.
Wendie always had an adventurous spirit. She loved competing in sports. Her greatest love was spending her free time fishing, hiking, camping, or basically anything to do with the outdoors.
Wendie deeply cared for her family and friends. She had a very giving heart.
Those who knew and loved her, will truly miss her.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Camp, Idleyld Park, Oregon. Son, Nicholas Tingey, Logan, Utah. Parents, Stanley and Virgie Haskell, Payson, Utah. Brother, Scott (Chris) Haskell, Monticello, Utah. Sister, Lynette (Blake) Mortensen, Payson, Utah. Three nieces, seven nephews, and several aunts and uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Richard W. Tingey. Grandparents, Amos and Mary Mechum, and Henry and Lucille Haskell.
A viewing will be held in Roseburg, Oregon at the Pearson’s Funeral Home on Diamond Lake Boulevard, Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Roseburg National Cemetery in Roseburg, Oregon at 11 a.m.
