Lyle Sandy Fitzpatrick, who went by Sandyman, was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He passed away surrounded by family in his home (The Sundance Ranch) on January 1st, 2018, after a courageous battle with GBM cancer.  Sandy was born in Coos Bay, Oregon to Mary Sara Dagnall and William Alexander Fitzpatrick.

Sandy was preceded in death by his mother, father and one sister.  He is survived by his wife, Victoria “Vickie” Anderson Fitzpatrick, 3 sons (Donovan Craig Fitzpatrick, Daniel Shane Fitzpatrick, and Christopher Battilega), 1 daughter (Tezra Battilega Kong), 4 brothers, 1 sister and 13 beloved grandchildren.

Sandy was an avid hunter, he loved riding his Harley Davidson, and was a fan of race car driving.  He spent most of his career in logging and then construction.  One of his greatest accomplishments came in his final years where he enjoyed teaching and ran the CDL Truck Driving Program at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg Oregon.  Sandy made a huge impact on the lives of future drivers and was credited for helping create a flourishing program at UCC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 17th, 2018 at the Winston Community Center.
