Isabel (Belle) Crinklaw passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born March 10, 1927, to Freddie and Lucille Broussard at Kaplan, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter they moved to Abbeville, Louisiana, where she grew up and attended school. After graduating high school in 1944, she attended Western Union School and accepted employment with them, and worked for Western Union in Chicago, El Paso, Texas, and Los Angeles, California.
During the late forties she returned to Louisiana, where she met her husband to be, Howard Crinklaw, and they were married April 1, 1950, at Clayton, New Mexico. In 1951, they moved Roseburg. To this union were born three sons, Rick Crinklaw (Carla) in 1953, Greg Crinklaw in 1955, and Glen Crinklaw in 1957.
The only time Belle worked outside the home was between 1952 and 1953, while Howard served in the U.S. Army. During those two years she worked for Coos Bay, Lumber Co. Plywood Plant, Coquille, OR.
Belle is survived by her husband Howard; her three sons, Rick, Greg and Glen; three grandchildren, Garrett, Kerey and Kaley; and great-granddaughter, Marlee
