Harriet Liesinger, age 82, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in Roseburg, OR. She was born in Roseburg on July 6, 1935, to Richard and Naomi (Pinkston) Riggs.
In 1958, after graduating from Lewis & Clark she married Alfred Lee Liesinger, whom she first met in grade school in Sutherlin, OR. She taught Health and PE for a short time before starting a family and becoming a stay at home mom. She was very involved with her family and organizations such as Campfire Girls and Job’s Daughters. She worked in the office of the United Methodist Church for many years and was very involved with her church family. She loved to sew, read, do puzzles and keep up with family and friends on facebook!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Dvorak and Karri Pargeter; sister, Leone Baty; grandchildren, Dustin Edwards (Ashley Marriott), Kelsey, Ian and Jacob Pargeter; and great-grandchild, Oliver Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, 1771 W. Harvard Ave. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in memory of Harriet.
