Bootie Baldwin (Armond Earl Baldwin Jr.), age 70, passed Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the Portland VA. A Vietnam Vet, lifelong resident of Douglas County, spreaderman for 20+ years, 30 year contractor who built luxury homes in OR, and a generous man who helped many in times of need.
He is survived by wife, Diane, of 21 years; four siblings, Randy, Mark, Robin and Les Bartlett; three children, Lisa and Clint Baldwin, and Josie Renwah; four grandkids; and one great-grandchild. He was the eldest child of Irene Bartlett (Peachie). Deeply loved by friends, ex-wives and neighbors, he rests now in the arms of God.
A graveside service will be held October 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the new Roseburg National Cemetery, with a potluck reception to follow at Arts Center (next door). There will also be a gathering at the Blac N’ Bleu Bistro between 4 and 6 p.m. for those who would like to attend a casual remembrance. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to VFW Dist12 Honor Guard may be submitted to the cemetery, or Pearson’s Funeral Home who are handling arrangements.
